Belstar Training Centre is accredited with HEC since 2008 to run the CGI (ICSA) programme.
1. Notice to Applicants
It is your responsibility to ascertain with the Institute that you meet their Entry Requirements.
Authentication
At Belstar Centre we help our students with authentication of the documents to be submitted with their application to the Institute. You need to produce to Administration the original and a photocopy of documents to be authenticated.
2. Course Details
CGI Level 1 consists of the Four modules below each is examined in a 3 hour paper:
1. CLA Company Law.
2. CCA Company Compliance & Administration
3. COG Corporate Governance
4. IFAI Interpretation of Accounting and Financial Information
2. Course Details
CGI Level 2 consists of three modules. Each is examined via a 3 hour paper:
1. DOS Development of Strategy
2. RMA Risk Management
3. BOD Board Dynamics
3. Entry Requirements
Level 1
Successful Completion of Foundation or any of the following qualifications:
a. Qualified lawyer or accountant
b. Completed a law or finance degree (please refer to 4)
c. Completed a selected business degree (contact ICSA Student Support team for more information)
d. Completed an HND in Law, Accounting or Business Management
e. Completed a CGI Level 5 Diploma in International Finance and Administration (IFA) or Diploma in Offshore Finance and Administration (DOFA)
f. Have a degree (not law – or finance-related) plus five or more years’ experience in a company secretary-related role.
Students awaiting HSC results may enroll provisionally Please refer to Section 6.
3. Entry Requirements
Level 2
Completion of Level 1 through exams or exemptions.
Our classes for Level 2 modules can start only AFTER results are released.

5. Semester Dates for November 2021 Exams
Level 1
Start: 17 July. End: 13 November.
Time: 09:00-12:00 – Corporate Governance | Company Law
Time: 13:00-16:00 – Company Compliance & Administration | Interpretation of Financial & Accounting Information
Level 2
Start: 7 August. End: 20 November.
Time: 13:00-16:00 – Boardroom Dynamics | Risk Management | Development of Strategy
6. Provisional Enrolment
If you are awaiting for Foundation results in order to enroll to Level 1, then you may find it difficult to catch up on missed sessions. Enrolling provisionally is possible by joining Level 1 Company Law or IFAI.
If you fail your exams you will have to cancel your enrolment on production of your exam results slip. Tuition fees will be refunded after retention of Rs 1,000.

Fees should be paid directly to the Institute by completing the relevant Forms online. You will need a credit card. Please be mindful of applicable deadlines for Registration and Exam Entry.

Question: What is the deadline to enroll with Belstar for July intake?
Ans: As from 7 June to secure a seat for your preferred module.
Question: How to register with CGI, renew membership or pay Exam/Exemption Fees?
All this should be done online. CGI no longer accepts paper applications. All Payments are effected via a credit card
Question: Does Belstar assess the eligibility to exemptions?
Eligibility is determined by CGI. Belstar can provide an indication to be confirmed
Question: With which module should I start?

Question: Does Belstar provide a report on attendance and performance to students?
Ans: Yes, students may request in writing for such a report.
Question: Does Belstar sell the study text?
Ans: The Institute has notified that study texts will no longer be available in hard copies.
Question: Are fees paid to Belstar refundable in case of drop out?
Ans: Please refer to our refund policy on website.
Question: Does Belstar cater for online sessions for the provision of the course?
Ans: Courses are designed for face to face delivery. However during lockdown this was adapted to online delivery.
Question: Is Belstar adequately equipped for promoting social distancing in providing of its courses?
Ans: Belstar is committed to adhere to any protocol set up by the educational authorities.
Question: Are there any special requirements for studying for CGI?
Ans: Exams are conducted under remote invigilation and can be taken anywhere provided you have a smart phone and an internet abled computer fitted with a webcam.
