Belstar Training Centre is accredited with HEC since 2008 to run the CGI (ICSA) programme.
1. Entry Requirements
The institute has no entry requirement for this level. However as per local regulations we can enroll only holders of any of the following:
HSC: 3 subjects at A Level and 1 subject at subsidiary level.
HSC: 2 subjects at A Level and 2 subjects at subsidiary level.
GCE: A Level 3 subjects.
If you are awaiting HSC results in order to enroll, then you may find it difficult to catch up on missed sessions. Enrolling provisionally is possible. Please attach 2nd Term school results to the enrolment form.
2. Course Details
The Foundation Programme provides a broad introduction to business, how companies are governed, maintained and financially managed, and the laws to which they must adhere. The knowledge and skills gained through the Foundation Programme prepare you for studying Part One of the qualifying programme.
Study time: 200 hours
The Foundation Programme covers FOUR sections examined in a SINGLE 3 hour paper.

Section 2: Company Law
Section 3: Principles of Compliance and Company Administration
Section 4: Principles of Accounting

CGI Foundation Programme provides the relevant skills and knowledge to help prepare you to meet the demands of Part One of Chartered Governance Qualifying Programme. This is especially useful if you do not have the academic or professional experience to enter the Qualifying Programme at Part One. The Foundation Programme is your first step on the path to a career as a governance professional or company secretary.

The Foundation Programme covers the following subjects:
- Business environment – how businesses are organised and run and how the external environment affects business activities
- Law – an introduction to corporate and business (commercial) law and the legal framework within which businesses operate
- Company compliance and administration – introducing legal, ownership and management structures for companies, how companies are incorporated and routine company compliance and governance obligations
- Finance – the basics of bookkeeping and how to understand the components of financial documentation as well as the principles of financial decision making.

6. Documents to be submitted with your Enrolment Form
- NID Card
- Certificates meeting entry requirements (HSC or GCE A Level)
- For provisional enrolment, please attach 2nd term school results to the enrolment form

Question: What is the deadline to enroll with Belstar for July intake?
Ans: As from 7 June to secure a seat for your preferred module.
Question: How to register with CGI, renew membership or pay Exam/Exemption Fees?
All this should be done online. CGI no longer accepts paper applications. All Payments are effected via a credit card
Question: Does Belstar assess the eligibility to exemptions?
Eligibility is determined by CGI. Belstar can provide an indication to be confirmed
Question: With which module should I start?

Question: Does Belstar provide a report on attendance and performance to students?
Ans: Yes, students may request in writing for such a report.
Question: Does Belstar sell the study text?
Ans: The Institute has notified that study texts will no longer be available in hard copies.

Question: Does Belstar cater for online sessions for the provision of the course?
Ans: Courses are designed for face to face delivery. However during lockdown this was adapted to online delivery.
Question: Is Belstar adequately equipped for promoting social distancing in providing of its courses?
Ans: Belstar is committed to adhere to any protocol set up by the educational authorities.
Question: Are there any special requirements for studying for CGI?
Ans: Exams are conducted under remote invigilation and can be taken anywhere provided you have a smart phone and an internet abled computer fitted with a webcam.
